Our Vision
Camp Mission
Provide a Christ centered, nurturing, trauma informed camp experience for children in foster care from this circuit. To help build or reinforce their value to the heavenly Father.
Greater Vision
To foster meaningful shared experiences between kids within the local foster system and caring adults who could also provide relational support to them during their challenging years of transition.
Possible Benefits/Outcomes
· Provide life giving and life changing experiences that will become a part of the life story of these kids
· Provide respite for foster families
· Foster widespread area church engagement and connection centered around these annual events that will strengthen effective organized and organic efforts toward related needs in the local foster community
· Potentially lead to the creation of a position at Heart of the Bride for a Ministry Coordinator/Counselor to kids in transition (those who have recently aged out)
· Through building regional organized engagement from local churches, our leadership team will have the opportunity to identify additional needs within the Foster/ OVC community that we might later be equipped to meet. (i.e. retreats for foster and adoptive families)
